CHASE 2022
co-located with ICSE 2022

15th International Conference on Cooperative and Human Aspects of Software Engineering (CHASE 2022)

CHASE is a high-quality venue for research related to the cooperative and human aspects of software engineering. Researchers and practitioners have long recognized the need to investigate the cooperative and human aspects. However, their articles have been scattered across many conferences and communities. The CHASE conference provides a unified forum for discussing high-quality research studies, models, methods, and tools for human and cooperative aspects of software engineering. We provide a meeting place for academic, industry, and practitioner communities interested in this area, and for those who are curious to see what it is all about.

Continuing its long tradition of being a diverse and inclusive community, CHASE welcomes human and social topics using a variety of research methods and techniques including, but not limited to case studies, ethnography, experiments and quasi-experiments, grounded theory, mining software repositories and other data, social media research, survey research and many more. Applications of new and interesting methods and techniques from other disciplines to study the cooperative, emotional and human aspects of software engineering are welcome.

Hybrid CHASE 2022

The CHASE technical program will take place in virtual format on Midspace (the same platform as ICSE) on May 18 & 19 2022.

CHASE will hold an in-person meeting on May 23, 2022. The in-person day will have a workshop character. We will work in 2-4 subgroups (per your interests) in each session. We will decide their topics by a quick on-site voting on some topics already proposed plus others to be decided ad-hoc.
